I know this prob should be in the tire and wheel section, but its more a rant/request type thing. I have a 1991 Toyota 2wd pickup with 14" wheels.
Do you think I can find a decent 14" tire for this truck ???? NO ! I realize that the old 14" is a dissappearing item... but come on..... all I find is name brands that I never heard of or crap from Japan whos customers ratings are lil to nothing of great. I am needing 195/75/14.... nothing... so I go to 205/70/14 and find many of the discount tire sites list a BFG radial T/A... so I get a little excited.... check the consumer ratings... they are all high... off the board great ! Whoo hoo..... check stock.... NONE AVAIL.... check another place NONE AVAIL..... check another place NONE AVAIL..... find out BFG is no longer making them.... then why-o-why put them on your dang site if BFG doesnt have any and neither do you !! sheesh..... I guess I will have to go spend good money for crappy *** tires. Anyone have any suggestions ? Tires they had great luck with ?? Dont need to bring up trying to check all the tires sites.. I been on them all.

that's off the gm tire site
any major store / distributor participating in gm's "on the roll " program uses that info
i guess availability might vary from area to area
but the prices can be pretty dam sweet
i think ford has the same type of program
can't remember if chrysler does or not
but any decent parts guy at a gm store can run the check for you

I have Firestone 225/70/14 on my Dart. When I bought them they had other sizes available. Mine came from Diamond Back Classics with redlines, but they just buy them from Firestone. Have had them for 5 years so they might not have many 14's now.

Got a set of 195 70 14 goodyears i took off my Dart. I'm using one as a spare for the dart. They have very few miles.

Would trade for one 205/70/14 firestone redline from Diamond Back Classics.

Take the tires and rims off your Duster and put them on the truck !!

lol... the original size tires were gone along time ago.. still have the rims laying around somewhere... the new tires on the Duster are to big for that truck !

lol

Try www.tirerack.com. They show 4 tires in 195/75-14. The Kumho Solus is a good tire. Have those on my '66 Valiant in a different size. Wet traction is amazing. They also list a Goodyear Integrity in that size and a Yokohama. The other tire is a winter tire made by Firestone. I've never had to wait more than 3 days to get tires from The Tire Rack since they have warehouses all over the country. Don't hurt to look.

I did check out tire rack and wasnt real impressed with what I saw. However, I will take another peek and research the ones you stated. thanks for the input !

Besides the FR380 (which are black, round, have a hole in the middle) you can also check your local Cooper supply house. The lower line of Cooper- Majestics still have your size available. Had to put some on my pop's AWD Aerostar. Good traction, good wear. A lot better tire than the FR380 and better prices comparably. I've sold 'em both and would prefer the Majestics for the price.

ok gang... I checked everything out... appreciate the help ! I sucked it up and bought through Summit..... I wanted the BFG's and they had them fairly close to me.

dang little truck aint worth its new shoes ! LOL
