Hi Guys,

I have a 1964 Dodge Dart GT that i am starting to get back on the road.

I have a few questions.

Right now it has stock 13 inch wheels. I purchased a used set of 14 inch steelies that are 4.5 Width. Question 1. Which dodge came with 14 stock?

I also purchased new set of 215/70/14 tires. Ive read that this is a great set up BUT Ive also read contradicting post. The 215/70/14 are too big for 4.5 width rims.
Question 2. Will the 215/70/14 tires work on 4.5 width rims.

Question 3. Will I be in for a surprises trying to fit that set up on a 64 Dodge Dart Gt?

Any info/answers will be highly appreciated.

Thanks Guys!

Ran 215 70 14 on stock rims for years i know at least 5 of my friends run that same size on early a bodys and later daily drivers with no problems at all

I think all early a bodies came with 13s unless they were V8 cars. Or if they had disc brakes but that was not an option until 65? 14inch ride better stop better all around a better choice on the early abodies than those 13inchers

Heres the last picture i took with 215 70 14x4.5

Yup, what Slantsix64 said. I ran that combo on my 66 Valiant for quite a while, no issues whatsoever.
