15x8 cragars what size rear tire

I just picked up a set of rims for my 66dart 15x8 rear and 15x7 fronts I wanted to know what size tire I can go with in rear? I want a little meat in the back. Im using a set of wheel adapters to confert from 5x4 to 5x4.5 bolt pattern. any help

The 15X8 may not fit the rear. They would have to have a lot of back spacing probably 4-3/4" + the width of the adaptor to fit that wheel if the car sits stock height. Crager normally don't have much more than 4" of backspace.

Let us know those wheels look nice on the early Dart.

To answer your question a 245/60/15 or 255/60/15 are nice size tires for the rear of an early A.

Just bolt them on w/o tires and then look at clearance. a 235 series tire is 9 1/4 inches wide, which would stick out another 5/8" from the rim. A 255 is 10" or 1" wider then the rim on each side. Any of those in a 60 series should be ok height wise, just look at the fender lip and the leaf spring.
