170 vs 225 block differance

ok, so i got a set of clifford headers for my 66 and they did not fit. i call and the guy said they will not fit a 170 but will fit a 225. said 225 was taller block. anyone know if this is so?

The 225 block is an inch taller than the 170 block. The 170 had a 3.125 inch stroke and the 225 had a 4.125 inch stroke.

Yup. I have some old school long tube Cliffords that do not fit my car because of that. I am fixin to put them up for sale.
