18 spline 2nd gear question

Hi,
Does anybody know if an OEM 2801105 30 tooth 2nd gear from a 1969 - 2.65 ratio trans work in a 1972 - 2.44 ratio trans which calls for OEM 3410403 which is also 30 tooth? Seems like they are the same. Did Ma Mopar just change the part number?

I would say no because the mating gear would have a different number of teeth and diameter to have a different ratio.

Thanks. You are right. I have since learned that they are different diameter and won't interchange.
