i just like this and isn’t Maxwell Mopar?

1915 - Barney Oldfield winning the 300 Mile Venice Grand Prix at 68 MPH in a four cylinder Maxwell.

In 1920 Maxwell went broke. They had been losing money ever since the 1918 recession, and then they made a car with weak axles that broke. Maxwell's reputation took a major hit over it (word really got around back then) and nobody would buy their cars. They couldn't pay their bank loans, so the bankers put Walter Chrysler in charge to rescue the business. The first thing he did was to re-design the Maxwell's axle and re-market the car as "The Good Maxwell". Calling it that may sound silly today, but it worked back then!

The last year for Maxwell was 1924 - 1925 Walter P Chrysler turned it into Chrysler Corporation and changed it into a force to be reckoned with.
