I am going to let this pretty little Valiant go so I can continue to work on the next Dodge Dart project. This is a 1962 Plymouth Valiant V200 2 door HT. It is a solid car, no floor board decay with a fresh paint job (bright blue - and no, not the original color of dull, boring mid-blue), and has a 225 c.i. slant 6 motor (original) with the push button transmission. We have gone through the brakes, wheels/bearings and added new tires. The seats have seat covers over the original covers and newer carpeting. This car runs and drives fine - NO ISSUES!! It will start and run down the road at 70 mph without a shake. She steers straight. This is a manual brake/steering car. All electrical is functional, all lighting is working as it should. There are no leaks and no water in floor after a washing or rain - this car stays dry! It is a fun car to drive and gets more looks and "thumbs ups" than all the other cars in the stable. Who would have thought??! This is the first Plymouth we have done so it has been an experience for me. But it has been fun to this point! Now, to the "what does this car need" part of the listing. The first thing is a headliner. These are available easily and is a typical bow-style liner installation. This will be done if it stays with me much longer. Secondly, it needs the door panels recovered. They are there but they are original and need to be redone - both door and rear panels. Thirdly, the seats should be stripped and recovered. Although the current covers are more than adequate, to do this car justice, the seats (split front bench and solid rear bench) should be recovered. I was thinking about redoing the entire interior black. I think that would look really sharp against the blue exterior! The carpet is navy and ok but I would redo that in black also. other than what is listed in the "what does this car need", the only other thing is a new owner! If you are looking for a real modern-day classic (a car built after 1960), this one might be one to look at. They continue to become more rare each year. I have learned so much by redoing this one. I hope someone will see and appreciate my efforts to this point! Thanks for looking at this Plymouth Valiant V200! Any questions feel free to get with me!
