I got a message from the machine shop that I do business with that they had a guy that needed some information on a /6 shifting conversion. He is redoing a 62 Valiant and upgrading to the 225 from a 170 and is going to a floor shift from a pushbutton. I have the transmission, yoke, and driveshaft for the upgrade from the ball & trunnion system out of a duster. Also have a 225 out of same car. So motor and transmission are handled (and from what I understand he is going to rebuild both).

My question's are:
1. What center console and shifter assembly would I best advise him to utilize.
2. Does the tranny crossmember in the 62 work with newer transmission i.e 75?
3. What else should I recommend to him when I talk with him.

And yes I will be getting the 170 and tranny assy as core's. And yes I will check the engine over to see if it is an aluminium one.

Thanks in advance for everyone's input!
