hey everyone I am a mopar nut I am currently working on a 1964 barracuda can't wait tom get it on the road also have a 1949 coronet the barracuda has a slant six and three speed .I am considering puttting a 4 barrel intake on it .has anyone tried the cliffrord intake .

Hello to the site.

I looked at a Clifford Research 4 bbl intake in 1976,
for my 65 Valiant 225/6.

They have been around a while.

You will need a very small 4bbl like a 390 holley,
and linkage for the carb.

I like your occupations from your profile, "truck driver/preacher." 2 honorable careers.(3John1:2) I'm gonna give you a quote from Toolmanmike awhile back that really helped me post photos when I couldn't figure it out. Paint program in your Windows system is easy:

I had a problem too until I reduced
the photo size. That also reduces the file size. If your photo is too big there should be a warning at the top of the box. Imy small photo is reduced to 75 kb(575x435). It 's hard to explain how to do it but I did it in paint. Go to start, all programs, accessories, and paint. There should be a blank screen. In the upper left - file, open, and search and click on where ever you keep your photos. Click or double click on the photo name to put it on the paint screen. goto the top and click on image then on stretch/skew. There should be a % box to reduce the photo size. I used 25% for the little thumbnail under my name and 42% for my profile in photo garage. click on file/save and you can go back to them whenever you need to.

welcome about the 4 bbl intake that will probably be over kill with a stock engine. search around on here or visit www.slantsix.org or www.slantsix.com for some very good info, i would suggest mild headwork and perhaps exhaust for the 4bbl to give you a good bang for your buck, the most common carb to put on a 4bbl intake is the 390 holley or 500 edlebrook (spelling)

If you are going to leave the engine basically stock consider a 2bbl set up off a 225 Super Six they work very well.
