1965 barracuda exhaust manifold

hey guys i just put my 318 in my car. i believe the 318 is a 1978. got ready to bolt up the drivers side manifold and it doesn't fit up to head. the down pipe is hitting the block. didn't want to screw something up which i am really good at. can i grind a little off the block to get clearance.the guy i got the motor from said it was out of a motor home dont know if that makes a difference. it is the original exhaust off the 273

The 273 Manifolds will often hit the lower part of the left cylinder head on later models. If the interference is at the bottom rear corner of the head several people have ground the head for clearance without issue, including myself. If the interference is someplace else please post a photo.

yeah it was just the head ground it down and fits perfect
