1965 Dart!

I just bought a 1965 Dart 270 which has been off the road since 1993. It was an extra instrument panel included. I the pash pad is mint. It's very dry so my question is;

What is the best way to soften up the dash pad so it doesn't crack?

I used a product for horse saddles on my Dart dash pad that made it "seem" less brittle. my sister used it on the vinyl in here car to keep it soft. I'll go look for the bottle and post a name later.
