I have a real 1965 Commando 273 For Sale. As removed from my 1965 Barracuda.

This includes all original parts as listed below. (disassembled).
  • Standard bore block with no damage or cracks.
  • Commando black valve covers in good shape, but need refinish.
  • Stock Commando heads (pair)
  • Stock Commando valve train to include shafts, lifters, and rockers (adjustable solid lifter originals)
  • Stock 10.5 pistons and rods in excellent shape
  • Stock crank
    Original Dampner
  • Stock oil pan, correct 65 timing cover, stock pickup, 90 degree adapter
  • The only non-stock 1965 item is the heads. I have 66 heads on it for the ability to use the later intakes. Stock original intake was traded long ago.
  • Engine was running when removed and disassembled.
  • Basically a pullout 1965 10.5 to 1 real Commando or Charger 273.
  • No intake.
  • Original Chrome 273 air cleaner has been sold.
You will need to do standard refresh to include bearings, rings, hone, etc. Very little ridge, and you might get by with leaving the engine std. bore. with hone.

Very inexpensive, and you pick it all up. I will not ship or palletize.

First $400.00 takes it all. Come and get it.

Located in Cabot, Arkansas, just North of Little Rock.

Price is unfortunately not negotiable, so please do not ask. I will put it all on Ebay or part it out in the future...and it will bring more money as you know. Valve covers, shaft rockers, and 65 timing cover alone will cover most of this price.

I would like to see it go to someone who really wants to use it.

Thanks for looking.

Engine is SOLD, paid, picked up and gone to a new home.

Thanks Karl for a great transaction. Appreciated and enjoyed the short visit.
