Hello. Does anyone have or know where I can locate a driver side trunk hinge for a '66 Barracuda. I just need one side. The pin on mine rotted off this morning. I'd like to buy the hinge with the pin already installed but if I can only find the pin then I'd take it. Looks like it's gonna be a real pain getting the old broke pin out. Thanks.

Yeah, those pin remnants are pretty hard to get out. I think a hinge pin kit is available...I just don't remember where I saw them. Layson's maybe? They have new hinges, but, they're fairly pricey. I've pulled a few over the years that had all sorts of replacement pins put in them, from cotter pins, to tent stakes, to threaded bolts. If you can get the old ones out, just about anything the correct diameter will work if you're not fussy about looks. Once installed the pin isn't all that easy to see anyway.

Thanks for the info!

AMS Obsolete has a NOS hinge for 195.00. Layson's has a reproduction hinge for 75.00.

Are the reproduction hinges from Layson's recommended?
