1966 Charger with 361

A friend of mine asked me if I knew anything about a 361 engine. He said it is in a 1966 Charger he is considering buying. I never heard of this engine before. Is there anything special about it? Is it a rare engine? Was it an optional engine?

About all I can say is my 1963 Dodge Polara had a 361 with a 2 barrel. I ran that motor really hard and never had any problems with it. It's probably a rare motor at this point because nobody really wanted one. The motor is a big block: See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chrysler_B_engine
