1967-1969 Barracuda Rubber Weatherstripping Seal

Going to install the trunk weatherstripping seal and was wondering if the crease goes at the bottom when you join the two tips together. Any tips for installing with door surround gasket(screw the triangle piece in, put 3M glue along the door and push-in the plastic clips into the holes and hold in place with tape???) Thanks!

The doors are clip on no glue.
The trunk seal ends meet in the bottom middle (lowest point for water to escape).
