1967 273 engine - rockers

There's a complete 273 near here for $100. I've looked around some and if I was reading right, all the 67s came with the adjustable rockers? If true, would this be a good buy? Still learning, thanks.

Yep, grab it up, might get lucky and be a 4bbl which the rocker shafts may have the banana grooves in them for better oiling.

nice forged crank too.... just make sure the pilot in the rear is machined out to the regular 318/360/340 size to forgo grief ordering torque converters.

Didn't all the 273's w/adj rockers have the banana groove shafts?...'68/'69 w/hyd rockers would not.

Should have adjustable rockers unless someone swapped to an hydro cam and stamped rockers.

The timing tab and other small pieces are asked for here. A good used heat shield from left manifold can bring 50 or more on ebay.
