I have a 1967 BB 727 trans that may have some rusted internal components. Stored outside for a time. Have not taken it apart for inspection.
I have a 1979 SB 727 (non-lockup) from a B200 van that is in good condition.
Are the 1979 727 internals compatible with the 1967 727 BB housing?
I did find this:
Tom Hand, "1971 saw introduction of the wider front clutch bushing that eliminated premature ring and drum wear." Difference between 1970 and 1971 kits has to do with the front clutch bushing. Inner seals for front clutch changed along with bushing in 1971. Does not look like any external component dimensions changed.
