Hello All,
I bought my first mopar in April. A partially disassembled 67 notchback with original 273. Looking forward to getting it on the road. I’ve wanted one since my first trip to Carlisle in the late 80s.

Welcome from Kansas. Please post some pictures. We don't care if it is a basket case. That way you can keep us updated with more pictures as you work on it.

Thanks for the welcome. The car is in pieces, but relatively rust free. I hope to get it stripped and painted over the winter. Going to keep it original color DD1.

Ah yes. DD1, Medium Blue Poly. Your car will be stunning in that color. Is that your son in the 3rd picture? If you work on the car together, it will be an experience you will both cherish forever. Keep us posted on the progress. That is a trunk full of parts. If you have any questions as to where some of them go, or how they go on, just holler. My current 69 Cuda Fastback was a basket case 35 years ago with parts in the trunk and in boxes. The guy told me everything was there, and it was. But we are talking about a time slightly before the internet, and I stared at more than one part wondering what it was and where it went. I eventually figured things out with books, but we are here for you.

Thank you! Yes, that is my son in the photo. I’m looking forward to working on the car with him. I’ll certainly be reaching out to the group with questions along the way.

My best friend had a copper colored 67 Notch with a black vinyl top...black interior. Back then slotted mags with raised white letters were the way to go. My buddies brother Mike was an engine builder and we beefed up the little forged crank, mechanical lifter 273 and put a small nitrous bottle in the trunk. It was an automatic on the column, so we ditched that and put an original Mopar 4 gear in it and added a 355 sure grip unit. It was a sweet ride. Yours looks to be in really good shape by the floor pans and photos. You have really good bones there!

A nitrous bottle! That sounds awesome. I’m excited to get going on the car.
