It has this picture in the thread as well, not sure if it is the same girl or not but it looks like she could be. The gas cap is correct on this shot and the fish is swimming the correct direction as well.

Please get off the fender lady......you're going to put a dent in it:-D

I have done book and magazine layout and many thought processes on what message is suggested by the layout are common.
Just my thoughts, but I think that when they got the picture, they realized she was getting in the driver's seat. Thinking like the minds of playboy, they swapped it to look like she is getting in the "passenger" side which subliminally invites YOU to be the driver. This was easier than getting everything back for a re-shoot.
