1968 1969 amx 390

Between now and spring time ... hopefully i will have an AMX... Can anybody tell me what to look for when i look at one ...
Trans and engine #'s location ...
Radiator #'s...
What numbers should match ....
Body possible rust locations ....
Anything ...

Hopefully it is a 4 speed, the Borg Warner automatics are weak!! I went through 7 trans in my '68 Javelin, and it only had a 290 in it..........and reverse was out when I sold it. :banghead:
In '70 or '71 they went to Torqueflites, much improved.

BTW, I had a friend who had an AMX. It had a 390, 4 speed, and 4:11 gears. He LOVED to hunt big block Chevelles! That little AMX had them for lunch!
