[SOLD] 1968 340 engine for sale

Cast date 9-10-68. VIN denotes it went into a 1969 Dart, maybe a GTS. VIN LM23P9B227962. If you own the car, you have first option to buy the motor. Motor is mostly there; main caps, crank, cam, incorrect “J” heads, no lifters, valves, pistons, rods or push rods. Correct intake and AVS carb. Stock distributor. Oil pan and pick up with windage tray. Walls are clean, no gouges. I will measure, but as I recall Std. Bore, so figure .020 over to clean it up. Located in North NJ. 07869.

Yes. When I bought the engine the X heads were long gone. Didn’t have $1,000 to source a new set, so I just threw those on.

I wrote the VINs on all three of my 340’s decoded on a notecard for safekeeping. Now I can’t find it. Good plan, eh? I’ll have to pull the head off tomorrow.
