Hey everyone,
I have a 68 S 340 - 4 speed 'cuda, with the 22" core.

Looking to upgrade for better cooling with the possible 26" options.

With the 22" - of course you have the lower/upper hose on the driver side - unlike the 26" options

Has anyone been able to use/find a newer alum radiator with these same hose locations to avoid new water pump/pulleys etc.

would love to get some reco's/ideas

Thanks!

Look at the big block ones some of them were same side I have a 26 with upper on Dr side and lower on pass

good call - ill take a look at the BB ones - Ive only been searching for the small block stuff; would be great to avoid any extra work - but if I gotta, I gotta!

champion 22 3 row in my 340 with auto no cooling problems//bottom tabs slide in and had to relocate one bolt on top //both inlet/outlet on driver-side//made a puke can from an old 2lb home fire extinguisher and some jb weld cut a notch out to remove pressure if needed//fits nice

How has your Champion radiator been? Have you had it for a long time? I was reading about some production changes that had happened on their side and quality changed. Curious to know, as it seems like yours is working fine!

have had it for a year/ works as it should/went with the 3 row(they claimed was good for 450 hp) 5o/50 anti freeze /180 thermostat/factory fan and clutch and hasn't even given me a hic up//will being installing a fan shroud in the winter(for being correct) everything is mocked up so I can drive it (runs/rolls/stops) survivor //plans are to pull motor- trans/ detail engine and bay install factory type exhaust
