1968 383 Barracuda Notchback

['64 Cuda]

I just found a 1968 383 Barracuda notchback on Craigs List in Canton, South Dakota. Was just listed at about 4 pm yesterday. Says it's a perfect body, rust free. Asking $5,000 or reasonable offer. Don't know anything else about it. This car is about 100 miles from me. Here's the guys info. Steve (605) 764-5908. Looks decent in the pics.

I saw that listed a few other times. It looks like a good solid car. It depends on how it was put together. Lots of potential but not an original 383 Formula S 68 Barracuda. If it were, it would be worth at least that much probably a lot more.

I talked to Steve about it Friday. He sent me more pictures and it is a project... Its not just a jump in and drive. I guess I'm thinking for that price it should be nicer... Maybe I'm just too picky.

nice car but I don't think it is a 68. Wrong taillights and trunk trim. I think it is a 69

I believe it's a '67 body (no marker lights in the quarters), with '68 front fenders, '67 taillights & trunk trim, '67 header and grills.
