This is just a FYI....... I've have never ran across a brake drum diameter
that was in a have size, like 1/2" or .5 increments, it is normally 9-10-11-12 inch diameters, as far as I'm aware of. Try re-measuring the inside of the brake drum again, and see what comes up. I just re-read your post again, your asking for 10.5" diameter backing plates, so in turn, your looking for 11" backing plates from a B-body car? Correct?

1968-69 rear backing plates would be 10" for our 8 3/4" A-bodies.

Are you looking for the original A-Body 10'x1.75" that cam on the 8.75" rear with the small bolt patter or are you upgrading with the large bolt pattern 10"x2.5" available from the B, C, E, F bodies and most trucks?
