Just wondering if there is any difference between a 1968 6-cylinder Hardtop body and a 1968 V8 hardtop body other than the K-member?
Thanks

I imagine the brakes and suspension and rear axle will be different too. /6 cars tend to have the 9 inch brakes lighter duty springs and torsion bars and 7 1/4 rear. The engine wiring harness is a little different for /6 too.

Other than the K -frame and maybe trannie and rear end (7 1/4 ) verses v-8, 8 3/4.
As far as body ,there should be no differance

No! Body should be same as long as they have the same number of doors. Brakes would probably be smaller on a 6 car and the trans is different on a 6 car vs a V8 car.

What about the torsion bars? Would a 6 car torsion bars work if you dropped in a v8?

Small block without PS, and Air may work with slant six bar, but car would be a wallowing mush bucket.

Original slant six bars and V8 bars are too soft for good handling with any engine. If you plan on replacing torsion bars, a set at one inch and thicker will be a best bet on a closed car. With thicker bars, a good front anti sway bar, new rear springs, and sub-frame connectors, these cars can be made to handle and ride real well. Oh, don’t forget to install new bushings during an upgrade.
