i gots good running motor/trans combos kicking around, no sense in dicking around with an unknown slant-- or any motor-- when the easy button is right there.

5.9/727 and some scat lowbacks, knock on some new donuts and i'd be stylin' and profilin'
Put a LS in it.

Ha ha why not rape it in the *** and put a ford in it
You evil man
lolz. fitting in that they're just Fucked Over Rebuild Dodges!

all kidding aside, the blew obal made some okay engines... for the cortina.

One of my friends had a high compression Cleveland....that thing sounded sweet
Never heard a good sounding LS
And I don't know why ....I remember when the started using them in NASCAR and you could tell by the sound who had them
Its funny cause my 12 ram hemi with single exhaust has a nice sound....

I don't like any production EFI V8. Their sound loses something compared to a carbureted engine. They somehow sound "flat" if that makes any sense.

My 86 vette has i nice sound too...
All stock
My friend said it had a better than another stock one cause I beat on it from day one

Sounds like needs more cam
Its a very mild car: 1988 Mustang LX Convertible, 5.0 5 spd 3.08 gears, GT40P heads, 1.72 rocker arms, ported lower intake manifold, 65mm throttle body, Ford Motorsports shorties and 2 1/4 off road h-pipe, dynomax super turbo mufflers, 54k miles, orig paint/top/interior, orig owner car. I bought it brand new.

I think compression ratio..and valve overlap
Have a lot to do with the sound
High compression gives it that "ring" and overlap makes them sing
