so, a quick run down,
purchased a 71 dart, did a complete resto, all new metal, spring relocation, new paint etc. i was building the car and when it was done, it was going to be a xmas gift for the old man.
so, he figured out i was building the car for him, and wouldnt take it as a gift, so we made a deal to trade for his 68 dart he restored 4 years ago
so, i got the car (/6 GT) with a stock built 360, 727, and 323 gears
my plans were
-edelbrock aluminum heads, had them ported
-comp xe 284h hyd ft
-kiethblack flattops.
-airgap intake
-PRW shaft mount full roller rockers
-mallory highfire 6 digital ignition
-line lock
-SSBC break system
-hotch sway bar
-eddy shocks
-spring relocation
-minnitub
-3" stainless exaust
and alot more...
heres a pic of the motor, almost done, waiting for my TTI headers, and i painted the motor all blue, i also plan on a set of fabbed valve covers which will also be blue, i want to keep the motor looking "stockish" and when you pop the hood, at a glance with the blue paint, will look like "nothing special", but yet, the motor should make around 500hp @ crank(desktop dyno said 545)
and heres a pic of his duster BEFORE he recently restored it to origina spec
