What I need is different then what SS/AFX has, this is what I need but for an A/C car, it will have holes for the A/C Buttons rather then the slide holes for a heater control. This one pictured is for a Heater car but will look the same all as one piece.

I have only had one of those, Greg could make one for you. I do have the factory block-off plate for the radio that goes over the bottom of the bezel.

Here is the delete plate that goes over the radio portion of the bezel. I am thinking of having these made, and I have had a few over the years and always sell them before I do anything about it. This is actually the 68 version, the 69 would have four holes to line-up with the four on the bezel, but will work on the 69 bezel.

Which cars used a one piece design and which used a 2 piece ? Is it a mid year change or model difference ?
I will need to order new ones for my 69 at some point.

I have never been able to find out about this part, nobody seems no know! I do know at some point there were fenders made without holes for the antenna but there were also plastic plugs made for the hole, I have had a couple of those.

I believe the 68 Darts always had a 2 piece and as far as heater with radio delete in 69 it was a one piece and nobody repos the 69.

Either a order screw up or someone planned on installing their own sound system.....this would have been the start of the aftermarket stereo era

It is a sales blank order, yes someone screwed up at the dealership and forgot to check off radio I am guessing. There is no R code on fender tag and build sheet in the radio section is very hard to read from a set spring. I just bought this car and it has a radio in it which I will not take out. I am betting the dealership added it once it showed up. I am hoping to track down original owner to find out if it was in the car when bought new as he will be the only one that knows for sure how it left the dealership. I just wanted to have the correct part as this car is a complete survivor with only 42,000 miles on it. What you are looking at is original paint, chrome and bright work. It is an incredible car.
