1969 dart hard top quarter window install.

First off let me say I did not take this car apart and it is my first installing quarter windows. I've tried to install the glass and I can not even get it in the location. Do I need the vertical rails removed and the regulator as well.

If not what am I missing here. If so what is the proper want to put it all back in.

The 67 manual has a fairly detailed glass removal install. section 23 page 36 give it take.
