Can the fuel filler neck/gasket be replaced with new ones from inside the trunk without unstrapping/dropping the fuel tank?

Yes because it just slides into the tank. Things like rust, dirt, undercoating, etc might make that difficult. You'll need to pop off the vent line too.

I have already taken the screws out and slipped it in the tank part way. Then you can put the white foam gasket on the flange. The floor seal the neck will need to come out with the tank dropped part way.

Don't drop the screws down the tube.

Dano says you don’t have to drop the tank to get the tube inserted but you’re saying you have to lower the tank?
