Hello all.

My buddy is in the process of installing a 572 HEMI in his '69 Dart. The question is this:

Is there a step by step guide for relocating the brake master cylinder to make clearance for the left valve cover? He has the relocation aluminum plate for the firewall under the hood, but he is not clear on what to do under the dash behind that plate. Any help would be appreciated......

Good luck with your post, but you're in the wrong forum. This forum is for swapping late model 5.7, 6.1, and 6.4 Liter Hemis into classic A-Bodies cars. You might have better luck in the mechanical Forum.

The good news is that it appears that your friend simply needs to get a longer rod for the master cylinder and move the rod to the other side of the pedal, to offset it.

Here's a thread that might have the answer you're looking for:

Hope this Helps,

Thanks Joe,

Someone in Admin moved this thread into this forum after I posted it..... :D

I had several relevant answers sent to me via PM.... :glasses7:

I'm guessing either cut and weld the brake push rod with a "Z" shape in it or shim it over off the brake pedal.
