How much would you expect to pay to have a 1970 Dart swinger bowed headliner installed.

It cost me $1000.00 to have new headliner installed in my 67 Barracuda notch.
This was out in the country in north Georgia.
I had already bought the headliner.
They had to remove front and rear glass to do job!
I also bought new rubber for both windows.
Pretty expensive!!!

Though I've never paid to have one installed, I did install one myself last year. After doing so, I wouldn't expect to pay any less than $500 for the installation, not including front and rear windshield and trim removal and re-installation. Before I did mine, I got quotes from $500-750 for just the headliner installation.

I agree with the above comments. I did mine my self but wouldn’t recommend it unless your READY for the job.It takes quite a bit to get it right..!! After doing mine, to get it done nicely I wouldn’t consider 750-1000 to be out of line. Not including the headliner. This was in a 71 swinger. Standard 5 bow stock replacement. Yes my front rear glass were already out. Good luck no matter how you go about it…Swingn’

I'll be installing mine after the car is painted. The car is stripped so I don't see it being more than a few hours to install the headliner itself. I've done one before so that helps. However, the work to strip it down and reassemble, glass, reinstall trim, visors, etc. is not inconsiderable. I'm sure they would be charging for a full day at least if they want the glass out. I don't think it has to come out but it would be a pia to do it glass in. That said removing the window trim, glass and reinstalling is a bit of work too. You might then need new gaskets and trim clips too.
