Hi everyone, My name is Joe I have started a pretty good collection of Mopars, I really love my A bodies but. have a B Body as well. While checking the status of my dealings with the Mecum Auction house, I came across one of your post. The thread was about my Dodge Dart 1970 340 rotis resto sunroof car. Some thought the price of the car was a bit steep. In my defense I just wanted to let you all know, the car had honest bids of $37,000.00 I declined the offers as I had a 45K reserve on the car.

The car was a promo Demo car, I am the second owner. it was taken apart nut and bolt, rotisserie d and then put back together. The engine 340 with Factory "U" heads (Matching VIN number engine) had only 51k miles on it when I got it but, it now is .30 over with a whopping 28 miles, it is a brand new car. Trans is 727 automatic (matching VIN numbers) and again rebuilt. Rear 3:23 Suregrip with original metal tag on it, also rebuilt. Carb has original tag still on it and again rebuilt. Two Broadcast sheets were in the car. Front seat original dyed and puffed up minimally. Rear Seat, Puffed up and dyed. the build sheet shows a heavy duty suspension package, Stripe delete, which was a rarity for the kind of car it was. Rallye Dash, no tach but, does have the clock. Kelsey Hayes 4 piston disc, which are factory for the car. The car has been fitted with the original look vinyl top. According to the build sheet it came with Black wheels and hubcaps. The rallye wheels were my choice. The Snorkel hood scoops Original. the side moldings original. Last but not least, The Sunroof, Dealer installed and power. This car was purchased in Ontario originally by the previous owner, who bought it for his wife. It has been siting in a Barn with about 40 other Mopars, as he was a collector. This car is one of one known to exist and in my opinion is worth every penny of the 45k I am asking. and also IMHO it should be in a museum. as a real sleeper. Please dont take me to be rude but, if anyone can show me a Dodge Dart Swinger, that was built like this and is still round today, as it was built. I will sell this one for 20k. In the meantime I will hold out for A bodies to start getting the recognition they deserve, especially this A body. I also have a Govier certified 1 of 1 matching numbers 1969 Road Runner convertible and another dodge dart 340 swinger Factory 4 speed Go Mango, Buckets with rallye Dash. 3:90 Rear original motor but trans is date code correct. and a 71 Duster 340, Hemi Orange, bench, column automatic. A 1953 Dodge b3b Pickup orig trans and motor, and a couple of Chevys but they were my wife's choice.
In closing, take a gander at the build sheet on the swinger and take a few minutes to decode it. then find me the other one built like it. Attched is a pic of some of my better cars. No that is not me in the picture.
