For Sale 1970 Duster Race car
2x3 rear chassis car built by Ed Quay Race cars from Pottstown PA
Dana 60 , moser axles spool
Ladder bars
Car was professionally built
Has not been raced since 1984 was in storage
I have not Raced this, I bought it to bulid a nostalgia car with.
Need to be gone over do to sitting for so long, has Mr Fiberglass hood & fenders -very light race glass.
Car was run with a big block,comes with elephant ears & headers , driveshaft.
Does not come with Shark tooth grile, but will have regular Duster grile.
$4000 located in Central NJ

They tied the car down with them when they moved it.
No big deal they can be fixed

That car is a much better start than the Demon I bought to build (re-build?) a race car with. In fact, I would guess that they are about the same vintage judging from the bars and the rear end. But, where is the front loop around the windshield and the "halo" loop? Does the snout bar just end at the firewall? Mide did and I will tie the backside of the firewall to the down bar inside like Mad Dart has on his bars. I am surprised it still has window and front/rear glass instaed of lexan like mine does. I am currently in the process of removing all the black from the front end (what's up with that anyways?) to paint it body color and possibly also reinforce the frame rails.

So why do cars today not use ladder bars like they did back in the day?

That would be a good start for a nostalgia racer.
