I purchased this car from a FABO member who performed a very well documented restoration on the car. I had intended to keep the car, however circumstances have changed and it needs to be sold. Since these pictures were taken, I have added a 71 shark tooth grille. Please let me know if you have any questions.

1970 Plymouth Duster in its original FJ5 Limelight Green with black interior. Car was originally a /6 and column shift automatic. Currently equipped with a 408ci engine (360 stroker) with FiTech EFI system, rated at 475HP @ 5700 RPM (have the engine dyno sheet), with 727 automatic transmission, 8.75 rear end with Auburn Posi-traction and 3.55 gears with Dr. Diff hardened axles and 4 wheel disc brake conversion (11.75 front, 10.7 rear). Interior is all new with correct bucket seats, console and shifter, rally dash along with all new wiring front to back.

Other components include:

  • Complete TTi exhaust system with full length ceramic headers and Dynomax mufflers

  • US Car Tool subframe connectors

  • Firm Feel stage 2 power steering box

  • Bilstein shocks,

  • Champion aluminum radiator,

  • Legendary Auto Interior,

  • Weld Pro Star wheels with BFG tires,

  • Hot Rod City Garage EFI fuel tank

  • 73 Spool Type K member

  • Mopar Performance .920 torsion bars
Original bumpers were re-chromed and all window trim was restored by Concourse Trim. Underside of car was coated in Lizard Skin color matched to car. Rear end housing and K member were powder coated. The brake booster was rebuilt and re-plated by Booster Dewey.

Asking $22,500 OBO

Given the completeness of this build to include the installation of the best possible available parts and components, could you describe how the car drives / performs i.e. stopping power, tracking, turn in, acceleration, cornering, etc.?

The car looks like a 1971 factory Duster 340 with the factory stripe package, the hood treatment, and now the addition of the factory grill --- also note the addition of the 1970-71 340 Duster rallye gauge instrument panel.

All the best with the sale of this car.

To be honest I have not put very many miles on the car since I purchased it, hence why it is being sold. When I did drive it, the car drove well but I never drove it hard to see how it would handle. The stopping power is good as is the acceleration. When I purchased the car, the EFI was controlling engine timing, however I was getting a lot of detonation and never could get it right, so I went back to having the distributor control the timing. Other than that and the grille change, I have not done much with the car.

Yes the car is sold, I purchased the car over a month ago and I sent you a PM after your previous inquiry saying so. The seller is the one you should be sending messages to, not the buyer.
