For your consideration I have a 1971 340 engine that I was building but now have some other expenses and have come to the point that I have to let it go.
The block was cast on 1-20-1971
I have had alot of machine work done to it by Indio Motor Machine.
It is bored .040
It has been lightly decked somewhere around 5-6 thou.
Factory rods, sized and re-bushed
Factory steel crank was inspected and is still STD/STD
New Melling oil pump and pickup.
New crank,cam,rod bearings.
New core plugs
Oil galleys cleaned
Cam is a Comp# 20-246-4 Grind 270S-10
2.02 heads, New stainless exhaust and intake valves. New guides, seats, springs and retainers.
New KB pistions
I was going to put this engine in my 75 Dart sport but things have changed.
The engine has not been broken in yet, everything has been assembled with assembly lube and oil.
The last step I needed to finish was determining push rod length and shim adjustment on the rockers. It will also need some rocker spacers.
I built this setup on Brian's recommendation at IMM. The goal was a nice driver motor that was still good on pump gas. I believe ratio is about 9.8-1
Engine Is located in Indio CA
If interested please send me a PM and I will reply shortly.
$3850.00 OBO
