I have a 1971 360 LA that is in a 66 Barracuda. I bought it that way. I've never had a Mopar before. I have a couple of questions. why would my intake have oil leaking in just 2 of the bolts, do I have to seal the threads? Also, should there be a valley pan on these? I have an open hole in the center of the heads on both sides.

Open hole is normal where the heat crossover flows from the heads to the intake.
Great place to drop small parts in :BangHead:
Yes oil will crawl up the bolt threads so sealer will help.
No valley pan on LA's

Thanks for the Information. I'm getting ready to freshen it up I don't want to miss anything.

Yes, you need to put sealant on the intake bolt threads, as the bolt holes are open into the valve cover area. Failure to do so can result in oil migrating up the bolts and pooling on the intake. As mentioned, the two "half moon" holes exposed on either side are normal. They are there to help air circulate around the exhaust cross over that goes through the intake manifold so as not to crack the intake.
