Cast Oct 70, 10/23 assembly date.
76744088 stamped on the passenger side pad.

Original 4 barrel intake to 402 oil pan, 346 heads.

Sat under a friend's workbench in a heated garage for who know's how long. Story is it was in his friend's car, running, when he bought it.

I bought it from him 2 years ago and I don't need it anymore. I got it just as you see it, except with rags stuffed in the intake and distributor hole, removed for pics.

Engine turned when I bought it and still does. Other than that, I do not have any other info.
Could take a chance and clean it up and run it, or rebuild.

Missing some bolts and other minor parts.
One of the trans mounting tabs is broken but still looks usable.

I will be taking the vaccum fitting off the intake, and possibly the alternator spacer on the head, nothing else.

$700, which is what I paid for it.
Located in upstate NY, 12302.
No shipping.
I have an engine crane to load it.

I was thinking that, but they're slanted so much I thought otherwise.
Thank you.

Was that how all 1s were stamped?
A 7 must look similar.

It shows G series on the pad, so 1971 model year.

Different fonts were used at times and as the roller dials wore, they can get cockeyed.

The first 1 is also the model year - 1971

St. Louis VINs never, ever reached into the 7xxxxxx range, so that is also a 1.

It is from a 1971 B-body.
