Does anybody have any helpful tips or reference literature on restoring a 1971 Dodge Dart grille? I found a great set of lens for it and I want to go ahead a redo it so everything will match.
The grille I am restoring/re-painting is in great condition and all it really needs is to be removed properly without harm- re-painted- and re-installed.
Any help would be appreciated.

Just be careful taking the screws out. Mine were rusted and stripped in two of the screws. I would just be very gentle with everything. If your going to spray it one color they have adhesive promoters that will make the paint stick to plastic without chipping off also. Other than that I dont know what to say hah I would just be gentle.

Easy to do, bu ttake your time.

1. Clean and sand the grille.

2. Fix any cracks or broken brackets.

3. Put a light coat of grey primer on it.

4. Paint all the areas that are silver. You don't to mask anything right now. I used a silver wheel paint that I liked from the Pep Boys. Mopar paint sucks.

5. Now mask off the silver (I used 1/4" pin stripe tape on the small areas).

6. Now paint the black wait till it dries and peel off the paint and there you go.
