Hi Folks

I have a 2100 OEM intake from a 1971 340. The metal baffle that is usually mounted underneath with the 2 spiral pins is missing. Are there any potential problems with running the intake without that baffle? I assume that it is to keep the oil off of the heat crossover, but I notice the aluminum ones don't have it. Is there anyone running it this way?

Thanks FABO

IT will be fine. IMO those baffles were nothing but a haven for catching oil and turning it to sludge. Most car guys run their engines cool enough to make up for any difference anyway.
