There are 2 styles for 1972

the one you have doesnt look to bad. i'd soak it in some evaporust or balst it. paint it or powdercoat it.

Once I did blast it,the pitting shows up more.I added a couple of other pictures to help and try to identify what the bracket may have come off originally. Thanks for any help

Is this too pitted? Didn't see any of it until I blasted it. Came off of 72 Barracuda. Have canister as well.

I am looking for either a NOS or a near mint, rust pit free vacuum canister bracket for a 1972 A Body.I am not 100 % sure it is originally from a 72.It is used to relocate the vacuum canister to the right side firewall area on a 72 Mr Norm's GSS Demon. I'd pay up to 200.00 for a mint used one or name your price on a NOS one.Let me know what you might have. Thanks !!

I have determined that this bracket was originally used on 1972 E/B body cars.

I have a few of those brackets and canisters, if you still need one PM me. BTW The canisters do have date codes on them starting some time in 72 for the 73 model year. The earliest one i found so far is 3202 and have a few more to check
