As a newer member, last year I decided to Restore my Grandma's 72 dart after she passed on some years ago! It's been just sitting in the barn.
This 40 year old survivor was in pretty good shape excluding some minor rust and the normal vinyl issues. Put about 250 hours into this project stripping the paint to metal and doing body work over the winter months to get paint ready. It has not as of yet been out for a drive yet since completed, still waiting for the snow to go away and get some sunny days that are dry. Looking forward to that country road ride for the first time in MidNight Blue/a stock 72 color. however, I changed it from the powder blue it was originally. Don't really care, just looks nicer dark blue! Thought I would share, I have tons of pics, but I attached some highlights as allowed. Good Times...:burnout:

Nice work. Roof idea rocks. That wont let condensation build up and rust out. Hopefully it will keep it's shine.

So the product is U-pol product from your local auto body supplier. The mixed catalyst goes over a prepped epoxy primer. Tape & cover everything before going to spray out. It's a like product of bed liner, but what I found was a great trick to knock down the spray after your blending technique is completed.
This helps remove any higher standing stipple that may look out of place, it also tends to dry down and lay flatter after spraying. Durable and touch up ability is so much less expensive than real replacement materials for vinyl.
