Can you guys tell me if the dual hood scoops like what came on the 1970 Dart Swinger was an available option on a 1972 Dodge Demon 340?
Also, was there a hood decal option too. I see the scoops and decals on the '71 cars, but hardly ever on the '72s.
If you have any option codes and photos, please post. Thanks.

I always loved the sizzler decals
(I think that was only a slant 6 package but it just looks the coolest)

No. The dual scoops were available for the Demon only in 71. The 72 option was the snorkel scoop in the center of the hood. The hood stripe option was the same as the orange duster pictured above, without the Sizzler writing, just solid. It was paint in the center with decal stripes stripes. Also, regardless of side/rear stripe color, it was black

There are differences even in the 71 cars stripes. Some have the tracer pin stripes outside the stripes, some don't, some are 2" or so from the edge, some are further back. It seems to me, the later cars are the ones that are closer to the edge and do not have the tracer pin stripe. My car included.

Ok. Well thanks for the information.
I'm not a big fan of the snorkel scoop. But I do like the painted/decal stripe hood treatment. I'm thinking of doing that to a car im considering that has a plain painted hood. Again, Thank you.

72 came with the metal fender emblems 71 came with decals

This is my car both the day it was brought home October 10, 1971 and 1981 ish. You can see there isn't tracer pin stripes and the stripes are much closer to the hood edge than the other example shown. There are several examples of late cars this way. Mine was ordered from Grand Spaulding Dodge to Chrysler June 1, 1971. Also, no chrome edging on the scoops.
