1972 Demon stock gauges quit working

Hello,

I have a 340 demon and just recently there was a spark from the instrument cluster/gauges and all of them stopped working. I coulndt find any fuses that are bad so im guessing that there is a short in there somewhere. Anyone else had this problem. Oh the gauges glass face place is real loose too I think thats what shorted it out.
 
Well I found that the hot wire coming from the back of the ammeter looks like its been fried. some of the insulation has been burned off. Although it does still have 12 volts at the back of the ammeter.
