1972 Demon trunk emblem (need help from the Demon experts)

The emblems are metal. I hooked the tape measure on the lower corner of the trunk lid.

But '72 did not have the "Demon" on the tail panel stripe, correct?

Some did and some did not.
My 1st 72 Demon 340 3 speed car was like 04/72 build date. It was a stripped car and had metal Demon but no 340 call outs. Higher interior trim level.
My next Demon 340 was a 72 with striped and Demon 340 decals fenders and rear.
My currrent demon has Demon 340 metal emblems on the fenders only but no stripes. I’ve yet to figure a reason or why they did what the did.
