Hello. I’m having some difficulty determining where different electrical connections go. I have two of the same electrical connectors going to the two posts on the alternator and I have the battery cable sandwiched between a nut. As shown in one of the pictures attached, and circled in blue; I have a wire with a thin slip on connector, a small plug type wire, and a wire that seems to have been cut and I am not sure where any of these three are supposed to go. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The very first thing is year make and model?

Second, is the wiring pretty much stock, or has it been hacked up or replaced?

Next, run over to MyMopar.com and download a free factory service manual

The violet one with the angle connector goes to the temp gauge sender

Actually I just answered part of my own question. Yeh, it is hacked up. No idea about the three greens, aka the one with no connector, and the two together with the right angle flag terminal.

I see now that the alternator is connected. The green should ONLY GO one place---to the field terminal of the VR, The blue connected to the alt is switched 12V what is called "ignition run" or IGN1 which is the main switched lead from the key which powers the VR, the alternator field, the ignition system, and electric choke, if used

The two connected greens with the angle connector MAY be to the horns Are they green/ red tracer?

Thank you so much for your reply. The vehicle is a 1973 Plymouth roadrunner with a 340. The wiring may have been hacked up but I am not sure, the vehicle was a garage find and the previous owner passed away. I will check the temp gauge sender as well as the two connected greens with the angle connector to see if it has a red tracer and get back to you. Thank you so much!

I also answered part of my own question. The green wire with no connector goes to, I believe, an AC solenoid or trans kickdown solenoid that I had to take off the carb. The connected greens with the angle connector do not have a red tracer on them.
