1973 440 short block. Fully machined 73 block, new cam bearings and freeze plugs. Cast crank, crack checked and ground .010 rods and mains. Reconditioned rods with new rod bolts. Silvolite .030 over cast pistons. Correct balancer. New rings, bearings, roller timing chain, HV oil pump. Small Crower Hydraulic cam. Correctly assembled, cam degreed and painted. 9.2 to 1 compression with 84 cc head. Perfect street motor. Located in NW Indiana. $1500 obo

I'm not trying to be a doubting thomas, but if you used the Silvolite cast slugs, wouldn't they be like .180" in the hole and closer to about 8:1 CR with an 84cc chamber?

Still isn't a terrible deal for a freshly recon'd 440 and would be a great DD or solid bracket engine-GLWS!
