1973 Low mileage Dart Sport....

Hey gang,
I am thinking about checking out a 1973 Dodge Dart Sport.

It has a sunroof and a 318 / auto

The interesting - only 3,500 miles.

The bad - Salvage Title due to a fresh water flood in 1986. Has sat since.
Not sure of the rust factor yet.... supposedly its not a rusted out car.


What ya think... is it worth checking it out ??

I have had dealings with cars without titles and that just sucks. This one has a title but is Salvage. I have not dealt with that yet.

thoughts ? Ideas ?

Could check it out if it's close and you have time to waste; I don't expect the car will be in good shape. It's sat for over 20 years and they probably didn't get all of the water out before it did a lot of damage. I would never buy a salvage title vehicle in case it ever needed to be sold.

It is worth checking out.
If it has already been titled as salvage, you can put plates and insurance on it like a regular car.
If it was salvage and the the title was turned it into the state as junk, then you need to start checking laws in your state.

Make sure that all of the electronics work before you buy it. Turn everything on and off a few times to make sure the connectors did not get corroded from the flood.
