I am offering for sale or trade my 1974 Dodge Dart Swinger 2 door hardtop that has been “old school” modified for street and track. It has a Chrysler “B” 400cid engine that has been modified for speed, with an Edlebrock single-plane intake manifold and Holey 750cfm carburetor. That pushes a Dodge 727 Torqueflight transmission and newer Ford Explorer 8.8” / 4.11:1 ratio rear end. Additional modifications include a Griffin aluminum radiator with electric fan, electronic ignition and B&M floor shifter. The engine is dressed in chrome air cleaner and valve covers. It has custom headers and cross flow dual exhaust. The tires are like new and the chrome wheels shine like a mirror.
The car has a relatively new “10 footer” paint job. All exterior trim and badges have been shaved. There is zero rust in the body. The dash, glass, and seats are perfect; however the hard headliner and carpet will need cleaning. The only rust is small repairable areas on the floor boards, but they are still very structurally sound.
The car does not have air conditioning, power steering or radio but is wired for a radio and has rear speakers installed. It also has all wheel power disc brakes. The car is a strong and dependable licensed daily driver.
I bought this car with every intention of cleaning her up cosmetically to be a weekend warrior and bracket racer, but age and time have caught up to me. The car is well worth at least $5000 but I am considering trades as well as cash.
