1975 Dart Turn Signal Lens Removal

I am attempting to figure out how to remove the front turn signal lenses from a 1975 Dart grill. They appear to be mounted with a some plastic tabs, but also some sort of caulk sealant. Has anyone removed these before without breaking the lens? The caulk still is soft and looks like the white strip caulk used in heater boxes. I thought I would try to heat it lightly with a heat gun, but of course I do not want to melt any plastic.

Does anyone have any experience removing these lenses?

Carefully push in the two lock tabs on either the top or bottom. No farther then necessary.
Tilt the lens out of the housing. Not necessary to push in the tabs on the other side. It should just roll out. "Should" is the key word here. Good Luck.

Thanks for the help, I still ended up using my heat gun to soften up the caulk seal around the lens and then I carefully worked to tabs off the bottom of the lens. :cheers:

Glad it worked out for you. Last time I did it, I was changing from amber to clear lenses and wasn't worried if I broke them. That's when they never break, of course.
